Based on the amount we import (per tonne) we are charged a fee which funds waste battery collections and recycling at retail locations such as shops or supermarkets.

As a retailer or distributor of more than 32kg a year of portable batteries, it’s likely you have an obligation to offer your customers the opportunity to return their used batteries to your store.
